Where to Stay

The Beech Mountain Metric is a classic mountain metric century that finishes atop Beech Mountain, famed climb of past Tour DuPont rides. The fourth annual ride is May 20, 2017.
With 8,000 feet of climbing in the 61-mile ride, the Beech Metric is a true test for the strongest of riders.
For those looking for a slightly less challenge, there is a 43-mile ride with 5,700 feet of climbing. And new in 2017 is the 23-mile Newland Loop which begins and ends in Banner Elk, thus avoiding the vertical ascent up Beech Mountain. For registration info, click here.
There are many lodging options - from hotels to condos to vacations homes - right near the finish line. See below for deals available the weekends of: Apr. 28-30 (training weekend), May 19-21 (Metric weekend), and June 23-25 (Blood, Sweat & Gears weekend) to all Beech Mountain Metric and BSG riders.
