Winter Sports

Beech Mountain is the place...

Up here, cold weather never brings us down. In fact, it’s the most exciting time of year.

That’s because Beech Mountain was made for winter—and there’s no shortage of recreational opportunities when it rolls around - like skiing at the highest resort in Eastern America, or snowboarding through the region’s premier half-pipe and terrain park. Ski Beech welcomes around 100 inches of natural snowfall each winter, and also boasts the region’s premier snow-making capabilities.

Falls

And even if you’re not up for the steep grades, you can still enjoy the outdoors at Ski Beech. The resort’s Alpine Village centerpiece is a 7,000-square-foot ice skating rink—where children and adults can skate to their heart’s content. Just outside Ski Beech, the sledding hill remains a popular attraction among children. The hill is even outfitted with its own snow-making machines, ensuring an extra-long and enjoyable winter for sledders.
