    • Mile-High Kite Festival

    • A September favorite that offers kite enthusiasts the rare chance to fly a kite at a mile above sea level. Richmond Air Force, Wings Across Carolina Kiting and Okra Society Kiting Clubs will be showing there stuff as well. We offer kite building and decorating clinics so be sure to bring your supplies.

    • Enjoy 20 miles of hiking trails on Beech Mountain. With trails ranging from nice family strolls to the more adventurous 8-mile trek through a thousand feet of elevation change, we offer a hike for everyone. You will see wildlife, waterfalls and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
